a.       This book discusses the recent increase in body image, such as the increased use of dieting and cosmetic surgery.  Research in the body image of boys has grown. Since the 1950’s, researchers have taken “body image” to mean different things. There are many different definitions of body image.

a.       This book addresses the severity of eating disorders. Many people are putting their lives in danger so they can achieve society’s idea of beauty. They are putting the blame of the media. Men are increasingly defined by their bodies. Men’s bodies are gazed up in the same way as women. The image of men has been reinforced by the media.
